Derby County head to Wembley Stadium on bank holiday as underdogs to beat Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final.
The Rams caused one of the greatest comesbacks in play-off history as they were 2-0 down on aggregate moments before half-time at Elland Road, to come away as 4-3 victors.
Frank Lampard will be looking to produce one more miracle in his first season as a manager in order to take Derby into the Premier League for the first time since 2008.
Here is the Derby County XI we expect to lineup on Monday:
Goalkeeper: Kelle Roos
The Dutch goalkeeper, who became Derby’s first-choice during the season has made some fine saves but does look a bit shaky from crosses. Kelle Roos will continue to keep Scott Carson on the bench.
Defence: Jayden Bogle, Richard Keogh, Fikayo Tomori, Ashley Cole
Derby fans have every reason to be nervous of seeing Richard Keogh line up against the Aston Villa attack but the club captain will start. His centre-back partner, Fikayo Tomori, is having an excellent season on loan from Chelsea. Likewise is youngster Jayden Bogle at right-back. However, Ashley Cole will come in at left-back because Scott Malone is suspended. The England legend has a shocking record as a starter for the East Midlands club.
Midfield: Duane Holmes, Mason Mount, Bradley Johnson
Frank Lampard will need a lot of central midfielders on the pitch to try wrestle the ball off their talented Aston Villa counterparts. Bradley Johnson is the best holding midfielder they have, whilst Duane Holmes offers energy. The experienced Tom Huddlestone is another option to the manager, but the former England international doesn’t offer much nobility or defensive protections.
Attack: Harry Wilson, Jack Marriott, Tom Lawrence
Harry Wilson and Tom Lawrence should offer Derby great threats on the counter attack and in open play. Jack Marriott hasn’t started a game for a while but has earned his starting place with his performance at Leeds in the semi-final second leg. Martyn Waghorn isn’t expected to be fully fit.
