Aston Villa are the bookmakers’ favourites to beat Derby County in the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium.
The Villans are looking to bounce back to the Premier League at the third attempt following last season’s 1-0 loss to Fulham in this fixture.
Dean Smith’s side were 4-0 and 3-0 winners against the Rams in their two regular season fixtures earlier this season.
Here is the Aston Villa team we think we’ll see lining up on bank holiday Monday:
Goalkeeper: Jed Steer
Made the position his own during the season, Jed Steer was a hero in the penalty shootout victory over rivals West Bromwich Albion in the semi-finals.
Defence: Ahmed Elmohamady, Axel Tuanzebe, Tyrone Mings, Neil Taylor
Dean Smith has turned Axel Tuanzebe and Tyrone Mings into an excellent centre-back partnership with the latter on the radar of a few Premier League clubs. Aston Villa have experienced full-backs who are capable of delivering crosses into the box when pushing forward.
Midfield: John McGinn, Conor Hourihane, Jack Grealish
This midfield trio should control possession for the Villans against a Derby side who don’t have an out-and-out holding midfielder or ball winner in the middle of the park. This trio are all goalscorers too.
Attack: Albert Adomah, Tammy Abraham, Anwar El Ghazi
Tammy Abraham may be the league’s top scorer but the striker has arguably relied on several easy chances to get as many as he has. Unimpressive in the semi-finals too. Albert Adomah offers pace up against Ashley Cole down the right wing. Anwar El Ghazi has trickery and a good long-range shot on him.
Here’s how we see Aston Villa lining up:
