Match Report: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Birmingham

Nottingham Forest came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Birmingham City in Saturday’s evening Championship encounter.

The visitors hadn’t scored in their previous three games heading to the City Ground this evening before they took the lead through Lukas Jutkiewicz’s looping header midway through the first half.

Birmingham looked on course to pick up three points when Che Adams’ deflected effort beat Costel Pantilimon made it 2-0 on 72 minutes.

However, a ferocious strike from substitute Joe Lolley three minutes later reduced the deficit before Daryl Murphy grabbed a late equaliser after former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp could only parry Lolley’s long-range effort.

The draw means that Birmingham City are still winless after five games, whilst Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in their five games but are down in 13th having drawn four of them.
