Blackburn Rovers have brought in youngster Kasey Palmer on a season-long loan from Chelsea, the Lancashire club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder spent the second half of last season loan at fellow Championship side Derby County.
Palmer has yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League side but is set to spend his third successive season in the second tier having been part of the Huddersfield Town side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2016-17.
Blackburn’s latest acquisition scored two goals in his 16 Championship appearances (2 starts) for the Rams last campaign, looking very lively towards the end. He is a very good dribbler of the ball but doesn’t always make the right decisions and can be greedy in possession. Palmer does have a good eye for goal.
Tony Mowbray’s Rovers start their 2018-19 Championship campaign at Ipswich Town on Saturday 4 August following their promotion from League One last season.
