Dack signs new deal at Blackburn

Bradley Dack has signed a new three-year contract at Championship side Blackburn Rovers, the Lancashire club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old joined from Gillingham back in 2017, and was a key player in helping Rovers gain promotion to the second tier last season.

Dack was Blackburn’s top scorer with 18 goals last season and was named the 2017-18 League One Player of the Year, an award he previously won with the Gills in 2015-16.

The central midfielder has spent virtually all his career in League One aside from a short loan spell with Braintree Town in the Conference Premier as a 19-year-old in 2013.  He has an excellent eye for goal and is one of the players to look out for in the new Championship season.

Bradley Dack becomes the seventh Blackburn Rovers player to extend his contract so far this summer.

Tony Mowbray’s side have also signed three central midfielders this summer: Joe Rothwell (Oxford United), Sam Durrant (Liverpool) and Jacob Davenport (Manchester City).

Rovers begin their 2018-19 Championship campaign at Ipswich Town on Saturday 4 August.
